The Government allocated ? 62,500 Canaries to compensate farmers who grow in mountain areas.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Canarian Government aid for ? 62,500 compensation for farmers in the archipelago by the difficulties of cultivation in mountain areas and other complex areas.

The beneficiaries of this hotline undertake to develop their agricultural activities in designated areas, at least for five years.
Requests to qualify for this line of aid from the European Agricultural Rural Development (EAFRD) published in the Boletin Oficial de Canarias (BOC) on May 11, must be submitted until 11 June before the Agriculture, Livestock , Fisheries and Food, in Agricultural Extension Agent, or any agencies or forms provided in the decree of 29 July.
This call is consistent with the provisions of Article 64.1 of the regulatory basis for the granting of certain subsidies provided under the Rural Development Programme Canary EAFRD for the programming period 2007-2013, approved by Order of February 10 2010, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, and Article 14 of Decree 36/2009 of 31 March.
