Confirms closure Eurocontrol airspace northeast of Spain until 1400 GMT.
Brussels, April 18 .- The airspace northeast of Spain at an altitude of between 19,500 and 35,500 feet will remain closed until 1400 GMT because of the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano, according to the latest figures on its website .
The authority has stressed that the air space is open in the area below or above the indicated altitude.
In particular,, sto credits, the affected part of the airspace of Bilbao, Pamplona, Lleida and Asturias, among other areas.
According to the forecast map of volcanic cloud advancing into eastern Europe, the phenomenon could affect Spanish side Levante in the next hours.
Aena has decided this morning, in coordination with Eurocontrol, the air traffic close to Barcelona airport and 10 other airports, gods and heroes gold, in Catalonia and northern Spain from 8.30 am to 16.00 pm (local time).
This measure would affect the airfields of Barcelona, Girona, Reus, Sabadell, Asturias, Santander, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Pamplona and Logrono.
